This weekend I attended the Church Eaton Festival, this is an annual festival which has been running now for 10 yrs!!! It is only a couple of miles away from my home and I have enjoyed visiting it for several years. If you are a reader of my jewellery blog you will know that I am a member of the Staffordshire Artists Cooperative- as a Cooperative we set up Gallery at 12 in Eccleshall a couple of years ago, and we decided that it would be good if we brought the Gallery over to Church Eaton for this years festival.
The decision was made easier as one of our members Bob Thacker - a very talented glass artist, lives in Church Eaton so we were able to set up a marquee in his garden.
Can you spot the scarecrow, I kept catching glimpses of a tall gentleman loitering in the garden throughout the day
As we were doing this as a Co-operative this year, it meant that I was actually able to take time out and look at what else was going on in the village, instead of manning my own stall for the duration, which is how it has always been for me in the past.
So here are just a few of my favourite scarecrows-
There was a definite clowning around theme going on with a lot of these- just great fun and great imagination!!!
